Philosophy

Welcome to the Metro Atlanta Hurricane website.  We hope that the information provided here would be helpful to members and visitors alike. 
 
This club is older than any of the modern “super-clubs”, and is stoked in the tradition of old world soccer.  The Hurricane was brought together 25 years ago by former professional soccer coach, Danny Hay.  These players were handpicked because of their talents and love of the game.  Now many of these players have been brought back together again as our coaching staff to reform the landscape of soccer in Georgia.
 
Metro Atlanta Hurricane offers the highest quality programs with excellent coaching, knowledgeable referees, and competitive play.  We offer a performance-based environment where your child can be promoted as he or she progresses.  This is a system that allows your child to child can shine if he/she is willing to put in the effort.   
 
The lessons our coaches teach include: hard work, humility, character, determination, sacrifice, sportsmanship, loyalty to coach and team, and love of the game.  We also intend to restore fun and focus to the game and combine it with the best in modern training techniques.  Metro Atlanta Hurricane is a different kind of soccer club.  We want to return to tradition while offering an opportunity to learn the game of soccer from the best of teachers.  We hope to give your child that championship feeling that happens when a team fights for a common goal and become champions themselves.
 
We offer Select and Academy teams of all age groups for both boys and girls.   Our program involves skill assessment, lessons, training, gaining competence, and then progressing to the next level of skill for your child.  When your child progresses, he or she will be promoted to a higher level of play.
